[email protected] is a free email address, not something that a real bank would use. Also, unless you are a customer of Credit Europe Bank, they would not be writing to you.

Please post the emails you received, including those from the "buyer" as he is part of the scam as well.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

How about this one then? I got the same problem as well. :(

Yes! I met a scammer online also. I was also selling my stuffs online. He said he has made auction payment and wait for the items to be shipped in order to claim the fund. It's funny i feel. Impossible a bank would use a free email service. So, i check online and even sent an email to that bank and clarify. They say clearly that the mentioned email was not sent by them. Luckily i check carefully before i do anything delivery.

Thank you,

Make sure you sell in person face to face at a public place and accept cash.

The scammer sent you a fake bank email. The original scammer is playing all roles. He was trying to steal your laptop.

Please stop all contact with everyone involved. Just disappear you do not need to explain anything to the thief.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Please do not tell the scammer he is posted here.

I got messages from UK guy that he wanna buy my cellphone that i adverted on internet. After dealing with him, he agreed with the price and ready to pay it online. After hours of waiting, he said that he have made a transaction. I got 2 emails from a suspicious email address "[email protected]" in my spam folder. The email subject is "Barclay's Bank Wire Transfer Payment Confirmation Order Number (*********) Get the item shipped" and "Alert Message From Barclay's Bank. Awaiting Your Scanned Copy". I dont really understand about it so I asked the guy and he said that the money has already been deducted from his account and the bank just request for the shipment receipt and tracking number before they can transfer it to my account. He's waiting a response from me. But I decided to ask all of you here in the forum first before I do anything else. Is he a scammer?

Please, response to this.

It is a scam.

The email you received is spoofed. This is why it went to your spam folder. If you look at the email headers you will see.

Please sell your phone face to face in a public place. Accept only cash.

Banks do not act as escrow services.

What is the email address of the fake buyer?

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Please do not tell the scammer he is posted here.

I only received the email from [email protected]
We're not dealing using email. We're using Whatsapp.
He said he's from UK. He's phone number starting with +234
But i searched it in google that +234 is a dialing code for Nigeria.
That make it so suspicious

Yes, this is a typical place for this type of scam.

What is the complete phone number. Others may search for it.

There is no need to protect a lazy criminal that was willing to steal your phone.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.
