THE ONLY WAY TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM THIS SCAM IS TO NOT PAY ANYTHING UNTIL YOU HAVE VIEWED AND INSPECTED THE VEHICLE YOURSELF

(The scammer has now photo-hacked the vehicle registration number from the most recent photos, hoping to make it easier to snare victims. Alternatively he selects photos that hide the registration number. There are now so many of these adverts appearing on ad sites that all such 'photo-hacked' adverts should be treated with extreme caution otherwise you'll lose your money. No honest seller has a good reason to hide the vehicle registration)

CAN'T SEE THE VEHICLE REGISTRATION ? - DON'T BOTHER ASKING

CAR ADVERTS - If a car seller mentions escrow - he's scamming you Never ever for any reason pay anything until you have seen and inspected the vehicle

Welcome to Scamwarners wwcl84.

The problem is that their whole strategy is never to meet a victim so that going undercover would not achieve anything. I publish details of what I find on these criminals on this forum and pass anything useful on to the authorities as the scale of fraud in which they are involved is much greater than what is published in these threads.

I understand your frustration.
