Hi Rabia, welcome to Scamwarners.

Fake sites is not my area of expertise so please dont book anything until one of our more experienced site experts can take a look for you.

I did have a look myself but nothing stood out as it being an obvious scam.

What I would suggest when dealing with any online company, even if legitimate is to never ever believe the endorsements of an individual posting about an online website.

What we find is that many spammers will get paid in order to clutter good sites with advertisements and endorsements which are completely unfounded and it is certainly something you should be mindful of.

My opinion, if a company needs to resort to spamming you, it is not worthy of your business.

I have checked the site and there is nothing that makes me think it's a scam, or at least the kind of scams we deal with here regularly. In the end we cannot vouch that this company has good work ethics, because there is not much we can do to find that out. In my eyes you are safe on this site.

The site you have referred to us Rabia Bilal doesn't sell anything. It's just a resource for consumers to find the best deals, and it's impossible for us to say how well it does that. From your own comments it seems to do it well, but it would be wise for you to double check the companies and flights they recommend to you, as liligo.co.uk are unlikely to take responsibility if it happens to be an airline with a poor reputation and reliability. You may also end upon a flight with 'no frills'. To some people that may be important, to others it's not a problem.

It seems like a good way to see what the cheapest flights are, but it would be wise to do some further checking to discover if there's a very good reason why the flight is so cheap - perhaps it's on a Easten bloc airline with an older plane, perhaps it flies at unsocial hours, perhaps there are severe luggage restrictions and you're packed inside like a sardine. That will depend on whether you're a backpacker or taking your family.

The reliability of liligo.co.uk isn't the issue. It's the airline they recommend to you that you need to check up on as that'll be the company you book with, and flight only deals aren't normally covered by the same protection you get with all inclusive holiday deals in the UK.

I have checked this website in detail. I did not found any scam material except one. And they usually prefer Oman, Turkish airline for cheapest fares on the exact given date for which they have mentioned. And the website they recommend for me is Hoodaki which is good and cheap website. Because i have found hoodaki website's recommendation on many other website. But the SKYTOURS website they recommended is fully scam and some people got involved on it. Have a look:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/online-t ... s-org.html

http://travel.ciao.co.uk/Sky_Tours_com__5645913

https://www.sky-tours.com/ (SKYTOUR SCAM website)

http://www.liligo.co.uk/air/SearchFlights.jsp (Liligo recommendation for SKYTOUR)
Please do some action for SKYTOURS scam website.

My problem is that Liligo have displayed the airline ticket fare discount on this page:
http://www.liligo.co.uk/airline-tickets ... arachi_pk/
But did not mentioned the payment method and these fares are not linked with any other website. And did not mentioned their contact number as well. I have send them an email for enquirer about payment method and traveling information. Lets see what they will replied. Then I will inform you.

Thanks

The payment method will almost certainly be by Western Union.

Although the information is appreciated, it would be best for you not to reply to any more emails from these people, they have some of your real details so its best not to upset them, please remember, they are criminals and can be dangerous

The Sky Tours name appears to be used by quite a number of different entities but when I did some research, the one you are referring to looks legitimate, which is not to say that I would recommend using them, and the checks and research you've made yourself does indicate some need to consider carefully before handing over any money.

I'll do some more research on them and see what I can turn up. You will likely get a better deal online than by going through a UK travel agent, but you lose the protection in what is quite a tightly regulated market in the UK.

After some further research all I can say is that I wouldn't book any travel through

https://www.sky-tours.com/

I cannot find any evidence to confirm that they are anything other than a properly constituted travel company, but that's not the sole criteria on which you should make your choice.

This highlights the problem in using a respectable site to search for the best travel deals. The danger is that they will link you up to the cheapest deal without regard to the record or standing of the site making the offer. That's why I suggested you do some research yourself after you get a suggestion put to you, though I see that you are already doing that yourself.

Liligo website are completely scam. I found a very interesting material about this site. They recommend for me a hoodaki website quotation that is:

http://www.FLIGHT.hoodaki.com/bookmyflight/show.aspx?d_name=London&d_code=LON&g_name=ond&g_code=KHI&faretype=R&from=14/11/2010&to=30/11/2010&c_name=ECON&v_name=AF&cnam=0&adult=1&child=0&infant=0

but the fact is that the original hoodaki website quotation is:
http://FLIGHTS.hoodaki.com/show.aspx?QS=JCKmeaYl7I5hXi9lnqhUFJxU+BofuHGnevHIj0pcCbRHQMCjuxZMFDoPL92Nf/GmdYJXpkOjO2GoH542x0w3er1vkdC2QvN7MxQcgz+VTsJlhxAx0wcEvYFY9jC5000cvZ3NSjuJfE6BZiq1edpr5MslJzl5vmESzqCWmrFjw+PqOPECXfhs8HXwZZJlg9eV5cprH7Og95T2xai9/ssCNZ/fsSN0C+bvZdhACevqkEP03Er31L6Hktp4Z6Gxh2zgQnVWscbVxkPqVTMpb2XaJpZOVHulYr4SeV3KPXuU1owggaWc6Ls4mxH9960ncM3qRzTXElvdzVKE2iNwPWDduFp79h9MG0KgCljE7PVo+XlP1zJX6nILMhzTWeLwOdNklIb17j0aFXU376mX+0kJBQPpI8uhG3WcwwzZ+A78Qrqi1H/UUzIAexyGix5mszol1cUV2uUNHp6cMH8a71Xnu94MKL2U62pX2gWEvYT8QR4mMKljvGcxJEBS7MEITMkBs8OSSDBRD+Zxh6XqowBdwRSLIK/EfmFPLhhLErd4WzA=

It's mean that they have created the fake website with the name of (FLIGHT.hoodaki.com) and copy the material of actual website of (FLIGHTS.hoodaki.com) and paste into their fake website. Got my point? I was shocked to see these minor difference. Nobody can even think about this fraud. It seems like they have created the fake website of sky-tours and copy paste the content of actual website into it.

Hi Rabia,
what you have described is exactly what they do, it is that kind of evidence that helps to get the fake sites shut down so feel free to add anything else that you find.

Your research skills are to be admired Rabia Bilal but you have to be catious over the conclusion you draw from them.

To address your original question "Is liligo.co.uk website reliable ?" the answer probably has to be "No" from your research and my own, but I doubt that it's due directly to any intent to mislead on their part. Perhaps all sites offering the cheapest deals and comparisons are open to being 'fed' incorrect/inaccurate/false information and the question you have to answer for yourself is how reliable is the information you're being given. So you can't just go ahead and book a flight purely on the suggestions made by that sort of site. You have to do the kind of research you've been doing, and that being the case, you have to wonder what function these sites are actually performing. It seems slightly daft if they are providing details of flights that may not be available at the quoted prices.

I checked the two domains you mentioned mentioned for hoodaki.com and it seems that they are both owned by the same company - Benz Travel Ltd.

I found an interesting article here which refers directly to Benz Travel Ltd

http://www.insidetraveller.co.uk/archiv ... s0208.html

... and it also goes some way to explain why so many companies exist under different names and why you see bargain flight details advertised that turn out not to exist. It seems to be like the situation where holidays advertised in travel agent shop windows turn out not to exist when you walk inside and enquire.

The principle appears to be, to be cautious who you book your flight with. Even some people with valid air tickets have found that they have not been accepted by the airline at the airport because it has been claimed that the retailer hasn't completed the formalities properly.

When you go looking for cheaper prices by using travel companies that don't have the same reputation and protection as the major names you take a risk. They're not scammers, but you have to be very careful all the same.

You have to be careful when you do business with people and companies on the internet that you don't know much/anything about Rabia Bilal. You've got the right attitude in doing your own checking as well, and that'll save you from falling in to too many traps.

We're always happy to help you with checking things out.
