Hello and welcome to the forum,

This is definitely a scam!

Signs to look out for:
You did not buy a ticket in this lottery.
There is no such thing as "The Microsoft Lottery".
The scammer is using a free yahoo email service.
The contact telephone number begins with +4470 . This is a UK based redirect telephone service and very popular with scammers.
If you use google or other reliable internet search engine to research some of the terms used in this scam, you will find thousands of similar examples of the lottery scam.

Welome to Scamwarners,

As Peta said it is a scam, I have taken the liberty of searching on a few things that will give you clues as to it's authenticity.

First, the reference number, seeing as the reference number should be unique to your win it would be very unlikely to turn up a result right. Click here to see the result

The batch number has similiar results Click Here

The name of the lottery will give mixed results but usually a good indication Click Here

Even the post office box number will give you some answers on this ocassion Click Here

Of course, my favourite, search on the opening line Click Here

Or even the second line Click Here

You could search on the amount you won Click Here

The phone number will often give you some good results 447024018063 but unfortuately not on this occasion, although it will come up soon because of this thread

The email address is usually the best indicator but on this occasion it doesn't come up either.

Your searching will not always reveal results but the signs Peta pointed out are very good tips that will save you from the need for any searches, you did not win a lottery unless you bought a ticket (even then you cant be sure) and you will not be required to pay any money to recieve your winnings if you did
