The person who sent this email is a scammer, he would like the recipients to believe that he is organising half a million dollars in compensation to random people who have been scammed.

There are several red flags that should be noted;
the use of a free email provider
The random nature of the email
The email is not addressed to any particular name (remember, they say they have $500,000 for you, they would at least know your name)
Poor English and grammar throughout
