I'm sorry. I thought it would just print up here. It had graphics and such but I don't know if it really came from the bank.

Could a mod please delete out my email address?
I forgot to do it.

Hi Loco.

What you've got there is a phishing email. It's not really something that we deal with here but is very, very common.
Basically, it leads you to a site set up by the scammer that looks like the authentic bank site. You (the unsuspecting victim) then put your ID and bank details in and the scammer then comes back and harvests them.

One way to deal with these is to put the url of the fake site in here:

http://www.phishfighting.com/

You could also try hunting for an addon for your browser that will automatically recognise phishing sites if you inadvertently click on them.

edit And if you see this before a moderator, click on the little button that says "edit" in the top right hand corner of your post. You can then delete your address.

Just adding, it is also a good idea to notify the place that is being misrepresented and forwarding the link url to them.

When doing that be sure to go to the actual site and dont rely on the phish email link to be correct

Especially when its a bank, they will get the fake site closed down pretty quickly once they know about it.

It may also help the bank with statistical information about phishing that may effect how they go about educating and informing their customers.
