So, being in a fix, I tried to get a payday loan.. I was taken to SEVERAL sites, and each one just directed me to anouther site, than another, than another, and I put my banking info in etc, than a company called me, this forgein type guy, and supposely I got approved for 200 dollars... SO, now different sites have my banking info, and now all these things are saying I signed up for it, etc.. SO, now I have no payday (probably a scam 200 dollars), and I'm terrified that my account is going to be hijacked.. What should I do? Should I just go to my bank Monday, close my account, and open a new one? Will this prevent them (or different sites) from taking money from me, or far worse OVERDRAFTING me???

Hi Thepilk and welcome to Scamwarners.

Contacting your bank to let them know your account details have been compromised is a great idea however i wouldn't be waiting until Monday, there should be a phone number for your bank, perhaps on a card or statement for you to report potential fraud or security issues, call them and ask for teh details to be changed, they should be able to cancel the account immediately and tell you how to go about getting your new account going sooner.
