This is a current scam emanating from India. A call is received on a UK landline/mobile and a spoofed UK landline number is displayed as Caller ID. A recording in a middle-aged male English voice advises that it is a message from British Telecom that your landline and internet are being cut off. If you want to stop it, press 1. If you agree to the termination, press 2. Of course, it is a scam and if you speak with anybody they will defraud you. If you receive such a call, hang up immediately. Even pressing one of the 2 options informs the Scammers that your number is live.
