Dear Customers

We hereby inform you that Ulster Bank Ireland has operation has been cased from the 31st of April 2023, all the existing network of 63 branches has been closed It is a for good, ending a relationship with the Republic of Ireland that stretches back to the middle of the 19th century.

All the non-performing loans have already been sold, while its performing mortgages have been taken on by Allied Irish Bank (AIB).

We hereby to inform you that the management of Ulster bank Ireland bought €6.8 billion of loans from the NatWest Group, and agreed to take a 16.7 per cent stake in AIB as part of payment for them.

All of our tracker mortgages, less desirable to possible buyers, were bought by AIB. Deposit and current account holders, as well as business account holders and credit card holders, are advised to get in touch with our new banks and providers (AIB).

All our customers have already been transferred to AIB, while the remaining 63 will have closed their doors permanently from May 31st.
