First off, I'm new to the forums. Apologies if posted in the incorrect area.

Anyways, I'm browsing Craigslist. I have a few things that have caught my eye, but would like to know if these things are scams.

#1-- hard to tell if its a scam or not, but there is no way in the world you'd get me to meet someone anywhere to buy a "supposed" brand new x-box for half price. You don't know if its stolen, purchased with a stolen credit card, or some other nefarious means of ill gotten delivery. You would be held liable for receiving stolen goods if it was stolen. Not to mention there is always the possibility of that person just wanting to rob you blind when you meet because they know you will have $250 cash on you.

Maybe MS X-box has serial #'s that you could confirm as stolen or not, I don't know.

#2, same as #1

#3 again, hard to tell. You take chances when you buy used anything. I'd suggest you email the seller and ask for the serial # from the laptop. Then call Apple and see if it has been reported as missing or stolen. If not, then maybe it would be a good idea to take it to an Apple store / certified repair shop and have them look at it to see if its worth buying. A 2010 model has all ready far outlived its lifespan (depending on use). Weather the seller would agree to this or not is up to them. But you need to ask yourself, do you want to throw away money, or try to get a value? Only you can answer that question.
