Craigslist, Ebay and other online buying/selling scams.

Was selling my bike on Craigslist and got this:
Hi Ousmane,

Thanks for the mail, I'm interested in your CBR1000RR and I'm okay
with the asking price, would love to go ahead with the deal right away
because this meets my perfect search for time being now, I'm on duty
now, so coming to your residence for inspection won't be possible, so
you have to assure me that it's in condition described. You may now
consider me a favorite buyer and if possible withdraw the posting from
the site immediately so that I can be rest assured that it is all
mine.

Like I said earlier, I'm very busy with my job, as I work as a
geophysical investigator and I'm currently in the mountain until 14th of
September so I will be paying you online via my PayPal account which is
attached to my bank account because it is the only form of payment
that I have access to right now and also because of its good security
nature. If you are interested in selling it please provide me with
the following information:

1) Your full name
2) PayPal email address,
3) Address for pick up
4) Your personal mobile #

Kindly get back to me with the required for us to proceed,You will not
be responsible for the shipping as shipping agent will be coming over
to your address for the pick up after I have made the payment and you
have received the confirmation of Payment from PayPal. Do hope to read
from you.

Thanks, Mason.

Hi, I will be making the payment to you shortly but I will include
the shipper's fee because I contacted the shipping company earlier
regarding the pick up and I just received an email from the Auto
shipping that they only receive their payment through money gram, I
prefer sending it to their PayPal account but they made me to
understand that they only receive customer's funds through money gram
So, I will add the shipper's fee to your payment now, the shipper's
fee is $600 but I will be adding $700 to the payment I will be making
to you via PayPal and that will make my total payment to be $6,700. I
will need you to help me send the exact amount of $600 to the mover
via money gram after I have sent the funds to your PayPal account and
you have received the confirmation of payment from PayPal. The
additional $100 will take care of the money gram charges. Let me know
if I can trust you to have the excess fund sent to my mover if
included in the payment that
will be transferred to you. I will make the payment immediately I hear
back from you. Thanks

I don't want to post the whole email traffic because it's too long, but in the end he got me. I was stupid enough to send him the 600$. I realized this was a scam when he asked me to send 900$ for cross state insurance, then something clicked in my mind and I decided to do some research about the shipping company (which I should have started with in the first place) and it even didn't exist. When I called MoneyGram they told me once the payment is received there is nothing they can do about it.
I should have never fallen for this kind of scam, just been stupid!!!

I am sorry you were scammed like this. Sadly it happens every day. Will you please post the email address the scammer used and the Headers from an email. Please delete any information that is related to you.
