LOVELY BENGAL KITTENS... BEST PRICE + FREE SHIPPING

History

With his distinctive spotted coat and large size, the Bengal looks like a wild cat on the prowl, but although one of his ancestors is the small, wild Asian leopard cat, he’s a domestic cat through and through.

Bengals take their name from the Asian leopard cat’s scientific name, Felis bengalensis. They were created through crosses between an Asian leopard cat — which in the 1950s and into the 1960s could be purchased at pet stores — and domestic shorthairs. Jean Mill, a breeder in California, was the first to make such a cross, but not because she wanted to create a new breed. She had acquired a leopard cat and allowed her to keep company with a black tom cat so she wouldn’t be lonely. To her surprise, since she hadn’t thought the two species would mate, kittens resulted, and Mill kept a spotted female. Breeding her back to her father produced a litter of spotted and solid kittens.

At about the same time, Dr. Willard Centerwall was crossing Asian leopard cats with domestic cats at Loyola University. The leopard cats were resistant to the feline leukemia virus, so researchers were interested in finding out if the trait could be passed on to hybrid offspring.

Various breeders became interested in developing the cats as a breed. Mill was one of them. Changes in her life had caused her to give up cat breeding, but she was ready to begin again. She had acquired some of Dr. Centerwall’s hybrids and sought out suitable males to breed to them. One was an orange domestic shorthair that she found in India, of all places, and the other was a brown spotted tabby acquired from a shelter. Bengals today are considered to be one and the same with domestic cats, and any Bengal purchased should be at least four generations removed from any ancestors with wild bloodlines.

The first cat association to recognize the Bengal was The International Cat Association, which granted the breed experimental status in 1983, followed by full recognition in 1991. The Bengal is also recognized by the American Cat Fanciers Association, the Canadian Cat Association and the United Feline Organization.

Bengal cats are so sought after, that a British woman paid over $50,000 for her bengal cat in 1990, dubbing them the "Rolls Royce" of feline companions.

Size

This is a large cat. Bengals weigh 11 to 17 pounds or more.

Personality

The Bengal is highly active and highly intelligent. This makes him fun to live with, but he can sometimes be challenging. On the whole, the Bengal is a confident, talkative, friendly cat who is always alert. Nothing escapes his notice. He likes to play games, including fetch, and he’s a whiz at learning tricks. His nimble paws are almost as good as hands, and it’s a good thing he doesn’t have opposable thumbs or he would probably rule the world. Bored bengal cats can also adopt some unconventional (and slightly destructive) habits, including: turning light switches on and off, fishing seals out of drains and excitedly plucking CDs from your DVD player.

Fond of playing in water, the Bengal is not above jumping into the tub or strolling into the shower with you. Aquarium and pond fish may be at risk from his clever paws. He also loves to climb and can often be found perching at the highest point he can reach in the home. A tall cat tree or two is a must for this feline, as are puzzle toys that will challenge his intelligence.

On the rare occasions that he isn’t swinging on chandeliers or swimming in your pool, the affectionate Bengal will be pleased to sit on your lap. It goes without saying that he will share your bed. And yes, he steals the covers.

Health

Both pedigreed cats and mixed-breed cats have varying incidences of health problems that may be genetic in nature. Bengals are generally healthy, but the following diseases have been seen in the breed:

Distal neuropathy, a nervous system disorder that causes weakness. It can occur in Bengals as early as 1 year of age. Fortunately, many cats recover on their own, although a few relapse.

Flat-chested kitten syndrome, a deformity that can range from mild to severe. Kittens who survive to adulthood usually show no signs once they reach maturity.

Hip dysplasia, which in severe cases can cause lameness

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a form of heart disease that is heritable in some breeds.

Patellar luxation, a hereditary dislocation of the kneecap that can range from mild to severe. Severe cases can be alleviated with surgery.

Progressive retinal atrophy, a degenerative eye disease.

Care

The short, thick coat of the Bengal is easily cared for with weekly combing to remove dead hair and distribute skin oils. A bath is rarely necessary.

Brush the teeth to prevent periodontal disease. Daily dental hygiene is best, but weekly brushing is better than nothing. Trim the nails every couple of weeks. Wipe the corners of the eyes with a soft, damp cloth to remove any discharge. Use a separate area of the cloth for each eye so you don’t run the risk of spreading any infection. Check the ears weekly. If they look dirty, wipe them out with a cotton ball or soft damp cloth moistened with a 50-50 mixture of cider vinegar and warm water. Avoid using cotton swabs, which can damage the interior of the ear.

Keep the litter box spotlessly clean. Cats are very particular about bathroom hygiene, and a dirty box may cause them to start using other places in the house instead.

It’s a good idea to keep a Bengal as an indoor-only cat to protect him from diseases spread by other cats, attacks by dogs or coyotes, and the other dangers that face cats who go outdoors, such as being hit by a car. Keeping him indoors also protects local birds and wildlife from this avid hunter. If possible, build your Bengal a large outdoor enclosure where he can jump and climb safely. Bengals who go outdoors also run the risk of being stolen by someone who would like to have such a beautiful cat without paying for it.

Coat Color And Grooming

The Bengal could never be called delicate. He is an athlete: agile and graceful with a strong, muscular body, as befits a cat who looks as if he belongs in the jungle. His broad head is a modified wedge shape, longer than it is wide, with rounded contours. Atop it are medium-size to small ears that are relatively short, set toward the side of the head. Large oval eyes are almost round. Joining the head to the body is a long, muscular neck. Supporting the body are medium-length legs, slightly longer in the back than in the front, with large, round paws. A thick, medium-length tail tapers at the end and is tipped in black. When a Bengal rolls over, you can see that another characteristic is a spotted belly.

Enhancing the Bengal’s wild appearance is a short, thick pelt that feels luxuriously soft and silky. It comes in several colors and patterns, including brown tabby, seal mink tabby, black silver tabby, and seal silver lynx point. The coat can be spotted randomly or in horizontal patterns, or it can be marbled, with horizontal stripes arranged randomly on a lighter background. Some Bengals have a coat that is described as “glittered.” The fur shimmers in the light, as if it were tipped with gold dust.

Children And Other Pets

The active and social Bengal is a perfect choice for families with children and cat-friendly dogs. He will play fetch as well as any retriever, learns tricks easily and loves the attention he receives from children who treat him politely and with respect. He’s smart enough to get out of the way of toddlers but loves school-age children because they are a match for his energy level and curiosity. Nothing scares him, certainly not dogs, and he will happily make friends with them if they don’t give him any trouble. Always introduce any pets, even other cats, slowly and in a controlled setting.

So, I have been in contact with SupremeBengals and speaking with someone by the name of Marcel Labbah located in Springfield MA... being new to this I grew very skeptical when they said no paypal and strictly Western union or MoneyGram.. I told them I can drive to them being that it'll only be a 2 hour drive. He said he couldn't reserve cat without the payment. I told him "if cat happens to get adopted from today Wednesday to Saturday, I can just choose another of your posted Bengals as I loved them all".. he said "ok"... my question.. am I going to find myself driving to an empty lot or house? Lol, if so, we will just make it into a roadtrip and we won't be losing money.

My wife and I are Experienced small passionate breeders breeding from home. We breed Top Quality Bengal Kittens/Cats and we have had 10 years experience with various Exotic & Domestic Animals in our yard. We are specialized in High Quality Silver and Brown Rosetted or Marbled Bengals for Special Loving Pets or Outstanding Show/Breeders. We came across our first Bengal in 2007 and since then our love for this stunning exotic breed started, They warmed our hearts with their intelligent, loyal, affectionate and playful Cheeky Characters and individual personality's. We've selected our Bengals very carefully from some of the finest UK & Import Pedigree Bloodline's to enable us to Breed Exceptional Bengal Cubs with Superb Wild Faces, Heads, Straight Profiles, Puffy Whisker Pads, Broad Nose's, Small well placed Ears, Large Nocturnal Eye's, Wild Confirmation, Striking leopard Rosetted markings with Outstanding Contrast & Clarity & occasionally Marbles with funky Chaotic patterns. All cubs are extremely well socialized 100% guaranteed as All cubs are raised in our home and socialized by our twin daughters and their dogs who are our excellent cats socializers. The Bengal was developed through a deliberate mating between the Wild Asian Leopard Cat (which is found in the forests of southern Asia, India, through China, Korea and the Soviet Far East) and a domestic cat to create these stunning domesticated leopards for our homes.

Why Do We Breed?

Our favorite Movie Quote Says it All!:

A Cat has no use for fancy cars or big homes or designer clothes.

A water logged stick will do just fine. A cat doesn't care if you're rich or poor, clever or dull, smart or dumb.

Give him your heart and he'll give you his.

How many people can you say that about?

How many people can make you feel rare, and pure, and special?

How many people can make you feel extraordinary?

-------------------------------------------

We breed to improve the breed - confirmation, health, and personality - striving for show kittens but we know a majority of our kittens will be strictly companions and that makes us just as happy as having kittens in the ring!

"Bengals are beautiful, intelligent, athletic and gentle, but they are not for everyone."

"These are pack animals. Bengals do not do well when left alone."

"Bengals need exercise every day."

"Bengals are a very gentle breed and well suited for the whole family."

"Bengals like to roam and need to be kept in a well secured area because if they get out it may be impossible to catch them on foot."

"Fun-loving, adventurous, alert, independent, clever, stubborn, mischievous and obstinate. all describe the Bengal."

We Nuture
Exotics

Here at Avana Exotics, we adore our Cats and treat them like family. Caring for and nurturing them has been our passion for the past 11 years. We take great pride in our facilities to provide all of our kittens with a healthy and safe setting. We have had lots of happy cat owners express delight with their Serval, caracal and Savannah in the past 11 years.

Is it really safe for the kitten?
We receive many inquiries on the process of shipping a kitten--individuals often wonder if it is safe and how it works. Won't he/she be scared? How long does it take? Won't it be difficult for the kitten having to be all alone in a crate for so long? This is how we explain the shipping process to individuals to help them feel more at ease with the process of getting a kitten: Shipping a kitten Is Very safe: See Below Details

Shipping a kitten by itself to a new location always sounds cruel and embarrassing, but actually i think it is harder for us than the kitten(s). We use Delta, Continental or American airlines to ship the kitten(s) depending on the shipping agency available at that moment. With many years of shipping experience, I know for a fact that all of the kittens are well taken care of. So if you stop and think about it, the airlines are not going to mistreat the kitten(s) for fear of lawsuit and customer dissatisfaction. we tape kitten(s) food and feeding instructions to the top of the crate and put water in the crate, so it will gradually thaw out for the kitten(s) and the puppies are offered food along the ride. The average flight is approximately 4 to 6 hours. We always ask about any delays or lay overs and know the exact times and departures of the flights, so weknow where the kitten is and am able to give you the information as well. The kitten will arrive the same day as it is sent--usually a few hours. we have a big fluffy bed of shredded newspapers in the crate for the kitten(s) to nestle in and usually a pig's ear chew (they love them), and a toy or sock with my scent on it--to help the kitten feel secure.

What about shipping in the winter –is it not too cold?
If you decide on a kitten, we will guarantee -as we have for 16 yrs--that he/she will arrive safe and sound. Kitten can be shipped safely between 20 and 85 degrees--AA rules. All kitten ride in the belly of the plane where the temperature is kept at a comfortable 70 degrees--same as for the passengers--and they are the last on and first off the plane. Shipping during this time of year is completely safe and there is no problem so we need not to be afraid about that. Just like a person getting on a flight to go meet their relatives and/or friends for the holidays, shipping a kitten is very similar-and probably even a little easier. The only thing different about this time of year is that the airlines can be strict on the minimum temperature at each location (which is really good for the kitten(s) even though the plane is always kept at 70 degrees. we believe it is mainly for their liability and protection. Likewise, in the summertime--they will not ship if temperatures are too hot along the way. If this is the case, we will just wait for the next best day to ship or ship earlier or later in the day to combat the hot/cold part of the day.

NOTE.. Most shippers specialised in shipping pets will use a temperature regulation crate called an electronic crate. These type of crates are used anytime since they can regulate the temperature to the one best for the kitten(s) travel

What is involved in the shipping process?
Since we are 45 minutes from my nearest airport and do not charge extra for delivery like most breeders, we try to make each trip count as much as possible by taking multiple kittens at a time while striving to accommodate to your specified times. Therefore it helps us greatly if you can specify multiple times/days you (or any other person with ID) would be available to pick up the kitten. So if you are interested in having one of the kitten after all amounts have been received, we are able to book the kitten. I will need to know the day(s) and time(s) you are able to pick up the kitten(s) your nearest airport, and your home address and phone number. Usually, we can only book a flight three days in advance so they are aware of the temperatures for shipping. After we have booked the kitten, we will call and/or email you with the flight number times, and location where the kitten(s) is to be picked up. All you need to do is pick up the kitten at your airport--taking a couple forms of identification, like a driver's license or insurance card and the airway bill number that we give you. Then we ask individuals to contact us as soon as possible after they receive their kitten as we are very anxious to hear about the kitten--if everything went ok --what you think--and any other questions you might have. It seems lengthy in explanation but it actually goes very fast!

What is the normal Shipping cost?
Most of the times we like to use Delta , American Airlines, ECD Priority and some times ECD as they have provided me with quality service. International airports are often the best bet, but we would be glad to check out your local airport to see if shipping is possible. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii also available at select times and may cost slightly more. we am only able to ship within the US, Canada & Puerto Rico at this time, although we have had individuals to fly in from other countries to pick up a kitten(s). Shipping has been running approximately $500 which includes, health certificate. If 2 kittens are being purchased at the same time, from the same litter, they can be flown together in a larger crate for $280 . When sending me your airports address, please send 2 different airports that you would be willing to travel to pick up the kitten(s).

We prefer kittens are picked up in person, as it is less stressful for the kittens, but kittens can be shipped when needed. Airline charges, kennel fees, and a health certificate for shipping will be an additional cost of $300. We ship worldwide.
Avana Exotics guarantees our kittens against untreatable life threatening congenital defects for the first year of life.

It exacts a toll on our self, our families, our friends, and especially our children. In the end, I believe, as in my case, the price we sell is well worth holding on to.

Please Fill the form Bellow and tell us more about you, your home as a place preparing to welcome the Kitten and the name of the kitten that you want to buy...((SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY))
