I think I might be being scammed

I have an ad on Craigslist in the CT Area and the people that want to rent from me are in Oregon. I have talked to them on the phone and they didn't call me back for a week they had a "friend" come to the place and take pictures for them . I am wondering if they are trying to scam me they said they could make it from Oregon to Ct in 4 days to pay the whole deposit. Mind you I have not talked to these people face to face. I did not post an email on Craigslist just my number So I dont know what to believe. Help

If you think you're being conned, trust your instincts.

I cannot make any judgement on whether or not you are being scammed but, from the few details you've provided, I can understand why you are being leery. For peace of mind, I would suggest striking this one from your list.
