Another email sent from the same email address by the scammer calling himself Erika Koneh :

Hello My Dearest,
Compliments of the season and how are you today and how about your health? i believe you are in a perfect health condition.Though Mine is a little bit warm over here in Dakar Senegal.

My name is Erika Koneh i am (24yrs old) but age doesn't matter in a real relationship,so i am comfortable with your age,I am from Liberia in West Africa,5.4ft tall, fair in complexion, single, and presently i am residing here in Dakar Senegal as a result of the civil war that was fought in my country some years ago.

My late father Dr Robert Koneh was the managing director of Gold and Diamond Mining company in Monrovia(the capital city of Liberia,my country) before the rebels attacked our house one early morning and killed my mother and my father in cold blood.

It was only me that is alive now and I managed to make my way to a nearby country Senegal where i am leaving now as a refugee under a Reverend father's care and i am using his computer to send these message to you.

I would like to know more about you, what you like and what you dislikes, your hobbies and what you are doing presently for your living ,I will tell you more and a Very important thing about myself in my next mail.Attached here is my picture.
Hoping to hear from you soonest
Yours forever,

In this email, the scammer introduces a new character as part of the scam :

Dearest, thanks for your reply to my mail.
How is your day?.Mine is a little bit hot over here it just like one staying in the prison and i hope by gods grace i will come out here soon through your help.

I don't have any brother, sister or relatives now whom i can go to,all my relatives ran away in the middle of the war,the only person i have now is Rev Samuel Martins who is the pastor of the (hope of glory church) here in the camp,he has been very nice to me since i came here but i am not living with him rather i am leaving in the women's hostel because the camp have two hostels one for men the other for women. The Pastors Tel number is (+221 772 67 65 17)if you call tell him that you want to speak with me so that he will send for me
you know As a refugee here i don't have any right or privilege to any thing be it money or whatever because it is against the law of this country.I want to go back to my studies because i only attended my first year before the tragic incident which lead me into this situation.

please listen to this my late father acquired the sum of $5.5 million U.S dollars while he was in government because he was the one in charge of the diamond sales with the Sierra Leone Government.Unfortunately for him few months after the transaction my father was killed.
The fund in question is still in one of the leading bank but since he is dead. Now i want you to stand on my behalf to the bank to know how this money will be transfer to your account.i want you to help transfer the money in your account if you can guarantee me your trust.and i have with me all the document that cover this money.

So in the light of above i will like you to keep this matter to yourself and don't tell it to anyone because i am afraid of loosing my life and the money if people gets to know about it.
Remember i am giving you all this information due to the trust i have on you.
I like honest and understanding people, truthful and a man of vision, truth and hardworking. My favourite language is English i can speak it very fluently.

Meanwhile I have outlined 25% of the total sum for any prospective help and 15% for any miscellaneous expenses that may occur during the retrieval process of the fund.I will like us to invest on shares and Estate Development and then we can discuss on percentage sharing in any investment you secure in your country,I EXPECT YOUR QUICK RESPONSE.I BELIEVE THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF A GOOD RELATIONSHIP AND NOW I AM RELYING ON YOUR HONESTY,TRUST AND ACCOUNTABILITY'S
best regard Erika
