Craigslist, Ebay and other online buying/selling scams.

[email protected] is now going by the name "Brett Wallinb" or "Brett Wallingb". He also uses the e-mail address: <[email protected]>. As soon as I got his reply to my craigslist posting I smelled a rat. Good thing I googled his message. Sorry to hear he's still around. :x Imagine that--using the same e-mail address. How is he still scamming? I'm willing to report this scammer as well, but not sure which is the best agency to report to. Advice is appreciated.

Welcome to ScamWarners figarojew and thank you for the additional information. Sadly, there is no place to report this kind of scammer. They hide behind anonymous email addresses and fake names. The police do not really have much to go on, so they will not do anything.

At least reporting the scammer here, others can and do find the information.

He is also using email [email protected]!!! Just hit me up about a recent ad I placed online, and from the wierdos that have hit up so far I have decided to double and triple check everything. His email was as fishy as the rest. Good thing I was not born yesterday..

Hi ConcernedSellerz and welcome to ScamWarners.

Thanks for posting the scammers email address, it will help others avoid being scammed by him. :=)

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

Yes, he is still scamming as of today, 2/21/2012. I am so glad I googled his name, so I could find this website. The email he used for the Craigslist post is: [email protected]; he gave his name as Brett Wallinb. I tried to look up this company "Dalston", no luck in the U.S. Then I googled him. His offer was too good to be true ... The old saying, "If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't true".

Just wanted to share the email that I am receiving from this scammer, is there anyone that I can turn this in to

I'm interested, and consider it sold, I'm buying it for my father and
payment would be through PayPal, my agent will come for pick up,
actually I'm working in a ship and most time I am off shore. Expecting
your prompt reply, with the name and email address on the your PayPal
account so that I can make the payment and please provide me with
recent pictures including this item so I can see the condition before
we proceed since I would not be seen it in person so I can make a
payment right away, and pick up would at your residence. And lastly,
I'm offering additional $100 to your final price for you to keep it
off from other offer. If you don't have paypal account yet, it is
very easy to set up, go to http://www.paypal.com and get it set up..
looking forward to your response.

Regards.

using email; Brett Wallinb [email protected]

I told him the following;

Oh yeah, cause I'm a complete moron & will never be able to tell that you are a scam artist.
Drop dead...now please

Scammers use scripts for their convenience. That is why they did not name the item you have posted for sale.

It is good that you all have recognized that this is a scammer. Please do not tell the scammer how you know he is a scammer.

I just posted a vehicle online for sale this morning, within an hour I received the below email. As I have sold and advertised online previously, I am aware to check and be very cautious of received emails. I googled the name and found this site.

I posted a car for sale this morning and got the same message. I guess he was planning on sending a FAKE paypal confirmation to my email. He was adament that I set up a new email using my email address so that he could send the fake confirmation to it. I offered to use my wife's paypal account and he said no. This guy is really a POS.
