We can sign the rental contract starting from next weekend but I need to be sure that you have serious intentions in renting the flat that`s why I attached here a model of the rental contract and also we can discuss the terms when we will meet!

Please note that I didn t asked for any kind of advance payment and the main reason I asked you that is the fact that I can come only in weekend when the banks are closed and some Western Union agents are open 24hours!
Its simple! You could find a Western Union in your area! You just have to go to the Western Union agency with your ID and the cash ready,fill a paper with your name(sender) and the receiver name( the person who will cash out the money you sent when we will meet)! There s no need for the receiver to be present when you will go to the Western Union agency and I think that the fees for this money transfer will be cheaper if you send the money to a family member that s why I told you to tell the agent that the receiver is a relative of yours!
As soon as you made this transaction you will get the receipt and only the sender and the receiver have the right to cash out the money using their ID when you will do that-in fact on Sunday as soon as we sign the tenancy agreement! In this way I am sure you will have the money available in cash at the moment when we will meet on Sunday when the banks are closed and some Western Union agencies are open and you have the assurance that I will keep the flat reserved for you! Please send me some close up pictures of the receipt as soon as you made the transaction and have the receipt so I could buy the flight ticket in time! This happened to myself too during August 2014. I've been trying to contact Western Union about it but they have been less than helpful.

The only way for this to stop is if we all harassed WU enough for them to tighten security and harassed the police enough for them to take it seriously. For one thing I know that the person is in or around London as on the night I realized what was happening I called Western Union and discovered they had it on record where the money was taken out of and the time.

I left it to my friend to sort it out for a while as I was too stressed and then later realized nothing was happening and after a while of struggling by and just phoning the company regularly asking for updates, pressure is too much now. The only way to resolve it is if everyone who has been taken in by this person complain enough that the police really do something about it.

I'm sorry to hear you were scammed. Any time you are told to send money by Western Union to rent an apartment, it is a scam. The writing style of the email is obviously West African. Any time you notice either of these traits, cut off communication and don't give the scammer any clue why. (Of course, if you're renting an apartment in West Africa, expect West African writing, but drop it at the first mention of WU or MG.)
