hello, I met a person online that says he is in Afganistan and is requesting I apply for a vacation certificate for him. I wrote to [email protected] and they answered me and said that there is a fee that has to be paid.. $4500 US money. it was to be paid to Regions Bank , account name Northa Kay Lisenby and it gave her account number.. I am very leary of doing this but this soldier keeps asking me to send the money so he can get home to his kids for a vacation. my gut is telling me... NO but what do you think?

Hi there,
Yes it's most certainly a scam - DO NOT send any money.
Firstly, soldiers do not have to pay (or have anyone make payments on their behalf for leave)
Also, the "writeme.com" domain isn't a legitimate email that would be used by an official government body.
Drop all communication with this person (who is not a soldier). Block their email so you don't even see their messages.
