Our Mission

ScamWarners is a 100% volunteer-run community dedicated to exposing online scams and protecting people worldwide from fraud. Since 2008, we have been documenting scammer tactics, collecting evidence, and providing a platform for victims to warn others.

Our database contains reports on romance scams, advance fee fraud (419 scams), fake job offers, rental scams, and many other types of online fraud. Every report helps protect potential victims by making scammer information searchable online.

What We Do

• Document Scammer Information: Email addresses, phone numbers, photos, and scripts used by scammers
• Educate the Public: Share common scam formats and tactics so people can recognize fraud
• Support Victims: Provide a community where victims can share experiences and get advice
• Partner with Anti-Fraud Organizations: Work alongside other scam-fighting communities

Our Standards

All scam reports posted on ScamWarners are reviewed by our volunteer moderation team. We require:

• Evidence of scam activity (emails, messages, photos)
• Accurate information to the best of the reporter's knowledge
• No posting of personal information about innocent parties
• Compliance with our posting guidelines

Editorial Policy

ScamWarners operates as a user-generated content platform with active moderation. Our moderators:

• Review reports for completeness and accuracy
• Remove content that violates our guidelines
• Respond to legitimate removal requests
• Update or correct information when new evidence emerges
