Have been chatting to an U.S. army guy by the name of Greg Roy. All going fine then questioned my trust when I challenged him about a link he sent for a request for leave (the link was [email protected]) when I looked at site said under construction. He tried to say he wasn't scamming then said I had hurt him,etc. I decided to play along and begged forgiveness etc he then asked me to send money via western union alarm bells rang in my ears. I have carried along not sending any money says his name is Greg Roy and I can send the money via a John Bruce TASKIM SQUARE BARRACKS
Istanbul, Turkey. have you ever heard of this Greg Roy or john Bruce not going to send any money. Advice and assistance please

Another email is as follows:

i think about you before i go to bed you are the first on my mind when i wake up and have never felt this way about anyone in many years i finally thought i had you i am a kind of man who can not do with negativity why on earth will i scam anyone of their money for what reason... if i want to borrow i could ask you to lend me but why would i run away with someones money is that not what scam is???? conning people am an honorable fellow and i hold a very high pride in myself... convince me can you lend me any money and i will refund when i get back to you.. can you help me with that?

And then this is the one with the alleged name and details

Greg Roy is my name and you can send it to agent in Turkey i will give details below

Stop all contact with the scammer. He is a thief/criminal he will only continue to lie to you. He only after your money.

There is no need to feel that way. Scammers are good at what they do. If not they would not being doing it.

Professionals have fallen for scams. You are not the first nor will you be the last.

Look out for future scam emails. The name and email address will be different but it will be your scammer. He thinks he knows your weakness and your likes. So, he will try again.

Thanks for the email i am new to the online dating and here is little about me.. I am born and raised in the USA, My dad was from England and mum from the USA..I am with the US army and am presently deploy to iraq for peace keeping....living in Baghdad at the moment and am also planning to retire very soon as i would like to be in a long loving relationship with someone very honest caring and special... Oh my god that is pretty much what he said to me, except that his ex had been going with one of his friends whilst he was deployed and he had caught her out he said his parents had both died his dad whilst in action in the army. I'm just glad that I have a cynical mind and had the common sense to check it out on here. He surprisingly hasn't been in touch again obviously not happy I didn't do the money transfer. I have since closed that e-mail account he had for me. Just hope no-one else has been caught by him and actually sent money.

Oh god I have been scammed just did some searching and came across all the posts. What an idiot I am I got sucked in and now I have become a victim. OMG OMG. OMG. What do I do now?

I was stupid enough to send money, got sucked right in. He was lovelybird on match.com has since gone off but I have everything ever sent between us. Stupid stupid me.
