It is a scam - German companies don't have websites written all in English with no German option fro a starter.

Then there are the various team member pictures, which in each of the cases I picked at random are stolen from other sites.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

Hi,

I am glad I came here and double checked. I took it 1 step further than you. I emailed back with certain questions about 'how do we pay our taxes, are we self employed or an employee etc'. Within 2 minutes I got a response. I was shocked at the speed of the reply. This is a Saturday night and the original email had been sent to me on the 25th April 2014. I was expecting at least an Out of Office email. But no, the email said you need to register at this link and here was your contract (original signatures only - no electronic signatures allowed) and a list of things they would take as 'proof of identity.' All contained your photo.
I will be honest and say I have my browser set to automatically translate web pages so I did not notice about the fact it was not in German. I only noticed one mistake, the email talks about one figure as pay (which is GBP) whereas the attachment says it will be in €'s's. but the same amount for both). I was concerned about the lack of VAT number (or the German equivalent as I felt that should be shown on the bottom of the contract). I started to wonder if it was possibly an Identity theft scam. When that alarm bell rang I decided to do a bit of research I Basically it was not sitting easy with me, so I came to research them and found this. Thanks for letting me know, it goes to proves 'if it looks to good to be true, then it normally is'. Sad days, Good luck with your job hunt.

They go to a lot of trouble because there is a lot of money to be made from what they have planned, but there's nothing in it for you except the blame for the criminal transactions they want you to handle.

The wording is largely waffly drivel designed to send you in to a deep sleep and put you off examining it too deeply, but they still make mistakes. My jobs was reading small print and I love it.

Although located in Hawkes Bay, we have a number of individuals, professionals and institutional organisations in other parts of Germany……...
:yikes:

Continental drift must have pushed New Zealand off course unexpectedly. :=)

They produce these websites in great volumes and copy and paste details without proof reading them properly.

I won't point out any more of their bloopers as I'm not acting as their proof reader and I doubt I would have the patience to deal with such numbskulls.

English machine-translated into German is pretty easy to tell from German written by a human, even if the human doesn't know much German. At least that's true for translations into English, French, or Spanish. (German is my fourth language and I'm not very proficient at it.) The site is in the process of being reported for fraud.

Have you contacted your financial institution? That would be the first place to start. They may have frozen it for valid reasons, or it could be another agency. Before you can go to step 2 you need to complete step 1.

Have you forwarded any money, or have you only been sent money?

Print out all the emails and other communication between you and the scammers, and show them to the bank. Explain that you are a victim of a scam. Also post the emails here, with full headers. They will be used as evidence in the next report to try to get the site shut down.

Hi, I've unfortunately fallen for the trick. I am a uni student looking for some work experience at a finance company, then the scammers approached me, they even got into contact with me by telephone. I got a job offer and agreement andthen I started getting funds transferred to my account. I executed two transfers before I realised what was happenings. My bank have suspended my account and I have forwarded relevant emails to aid investigations, I am really nervous!

The first decision the bank will have to make is whether or not they believe you to be a criminal, and that may not always be in their hands. Even if they don't believe that you're a criminal they may still shut your account simply because the hassle it causes them to handle this type of situation isn't something they'd want to risk going through again and, bear in mind that a bank can shut anyone's account at any time without being required to give any reason.

Beyond the legal issues it boils down to a commercial decision, so if your account is new or has previously caused them trouble, then most likely they'll close it. They probably won't tell you if you've been blacklisted but it'll become apparent when you try to open an account elsewhere.

It can't be emphasised enough how important it is to avoid getting involved in this type of fraud as the implications can affect you for a long time to come, even if you have been duped in to it. That's why criminals make such efforts to recruit 'money mules'.

There's no sense in spelling out the hypothetical alternatives, but presuming that you have become involved in this without knowing that they have been criminal transactions and that the bank come to this conclusion too, you do now represent an increased risk as an account. This isn't merely from the risk of losing money but also from your account causing greater administration costs. Banks are commercial enterprises and simply opening an account represents a significant cost and, if your account creates problems and risks, they'll drop you.

The criminal knows this and he is effectively making money from 'burning' the bank accounts of his 'money mules' and it's why he has an insatiable desire for new recruits. Most get shut down after one payment and often you won't be trusted with more than one payment.
