Employment Contract Letter

Dear XXX,

We are delighted that you have agreed to join our industry in the important position as a food processor. The purpose of this letter is to confirm our mutual agreement with respect to the terms of your employment.

Work schedule and hours of service: You will have one day off per week, usually Sunday. You understand that by the virtue of the nature of the position, there will be occasions when scheduling changes will be necessary to accommodate our schedule. Your services may be required on holidays. The nature of this position together with the variability of our needs for service can sometimes cause need for your services beyond the general scope of this agreement.

Duties: You will have primary responsibility for all aspects of the management of the inside of the industry as we direct.

Compensation: Your starting salary will be CAD20 per hour and additional CAD22 for extra hour. Your starting date will be Monday 15th, June 2015. This contract would be renewable in two (2) years.

Benefits: You will be provided medical benefits, free accommodation, transportation and other fringe benefits. Your eligibility for such benefits is subject to the provisions of our ‘employee benefit plan’ with respect to waiting periods etc.

Vacation: After the first eight (8) months of employment, you are eligible for 28.5 days paid vacation and thereafter you may plan to take up to a week of paid leave for each completed eight (8) month period. You taking vacation leave is naturally contingent upon a schedule which is mutually acceptable to both yourself and to us. Vacation time cannot be accumulated beyond four (4) weeks of total earned vacation time.

Other Terms: Food/Accommodation/Medical/Air Ticket provided to employee.

Performance Appraisals: At four (4) months, eight (8) months and annually thereafter.

We expect you to reflect my high ethical and legal standards at all times whether on or off. If this ‘Letter of Agreement’ accurately reflects your understanding of our relations and is completely acceptable to you. Please sign and return a copy of this letter.
