It's a re-shipping scam and the proof is in the fact that no real company would pay someone to receive packages at their home and re-ship them. Add to that the numerous name changes and short lived fake websites these scammers have used and that is all the proof needed to identify it as a scam.

The fax number is almost as far as one can get from the phone number and still be in New York. Please post the emails you got from this scam, as others may be searching for text in the emails, and they will help us kill the site.
