Hello, this is a definite scam. The man you are in touch with is a scammer and I am sorry, but his only interest in you is in how much of your money he can steal.

The best thing to do is block him and do not respond any further. Do not confront him or accuse him of being a scammer as he will just deny it and try to carry on scamming you.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

More information on this scammer, forwarded to me by a member of another anti-scam forum.

He had lived in long beach California and about 4 yrs ago had moved to Austin texas at 2704 oak park drive 78704 and was just renting with the option to buy. I have been at this house and even drove him to the airport when he left to Cambodia to start a project for the Cambodian government doing a huge office building. As you know I told you Samuel is a structual engineer and saw this opportunity and went to Washington D.C. to meet with these guys and 2 weeks later called him to accept his design. Being in a 3rd world country, they do things differently and things did not go well. After giving him a check to start the project and his interpreter helped him with bank account…then bank would not release the funds. They did once for 20,000. For him to pay payroll and trouble from then on.

Samuel is 62yrs old and was born June 4th 1954. His full name is Samuel Luke Smith. I was communicating with him on his cell phone with California # 714-479-2552, which now says that this number is no longer in service or has been disconnected. When Samuel was in this accident it was so bad the cab driver died on the spot and Sam was in a coma for over 3 weeks and had about 3700.00 on him for his plan ticket and other expenses. Hospital used that money to help fix him up but really needed an operation. Had GI blunt trauma to kidney, ruptured spleen, broken ankle and broken wrist and a lot of enternal bleeding. They were treating him with medicine but the want money to do an operation. Docter helped him write an e-mail to me from Sam’s laptop to tell me all this but did not tell me what hospital he was in. Samuel’s e-mail address is [email protected]. Then nurse had his phone fixed as it was not working from accident and then he started texting me again. He sent me a picture of him in the hospital and he was pretty banged up and he did not even recognize himself..

The one in the hospital bed dates back to 2012 from a news article about a man hospitalised in the USA after being attacked by a dog and not from a taxi accident in Cambodia.

More Information on this scammer:
His beginning story to me was that he was married for 20yrs and had lost his wife to ovarian cancer 4yrs prior. He said he was born in a small town in Ohio (forgot the name) and his father was an agrochemist-soil and dirt- and had met his mother over in Turkey as she was the daughter of the man and wife that his father was working for they owned a tobacco farm over in Turkey. He said when he was 13yr old his father died and his mother took him back to Turkey and went to school there, he played 3 instruments and sang and his mother never remarried just gave him a good education and then went to college got degree in structual engineering. When his mother died he moved to Long Beach, California and after his wife died he no longer could live there, too many memories and moved to Austin Texas.

The name of the last person receiving my money was Mouern Rotha. Suppose to be his nurse. Others are: Mao Navy, Chinedo Charles Oparaocha, Soporn Korn, Ing Nary, Ron ?
