causes me to believe you cashed a check the scammer sent you. If this is true, you need to contact your bank as soon as possible. Any check you were sent is a forgery and you are the one who deposited the forgery.

Please clarify your situation so we can help you.

Scammers do try to intimidate their victims. It works all too often. Typically scammers are not in the country you live in. If you are messing around with this person, you are doing something dangeous which we do not recommend because the scammer has your real life information.

Hi there also same guy on gumtree the guys email addy is [email protected] so going under Luke Brown now and he said the exact same thing to me! Luckily i asked my brother about how to go about paying for a car in paypal and so as i said he knew about the scam luckily!!! this is the emails I got

I was just about to pay when i had this little problem with the picking up,my pick up agent says i will need to pay for the pick up before they can schedule a pick up time,they charged me $950 for pick up and delivery,and payments for pick up made through them is made to their corporate international headquarters which is in Malaysia and the payments is made through western union money transfer,i will add the $950 to the money i will send through the transfer as soon as i have made the payments,i will email you and let you know and please i will need you to help me send the money to my pick up agent Headquarters in Malaysia through western union money transfer,this can be done at any western union section at the post office,there is always western union money transfer section in most post offices.

so just like all the others and now asking for even more for delivery!!! Thanks to this site and my brother all worked out not that I would pay until i actually saw the money in paypal but he did send a fake email saying a paypal transaction had gone thru too!

Thank you so much for saving me from pending disaster. You know something is fishy when someone is willing to buy something from you without even inspecting it. I was contacted by this individual called bobby crown with the email address [email protected] with this bizarre message:

I am glad to inform you that i am satisfied with the details and conditions of your car on the advert.

Presently i am in offshore in France but i will be traveling down to UK to complete the transaction.Firstly, i will like you to please put it off advert to avoid interruptions from other interested buyers and count it sold.

Concerning the price ,i will be glad to pay you £8500.00.

I will send you a Bankers draft of £4500.00 which i will allow it to clear into your bank account .

You will deduct £1000.00 as a non-refundable deposit.

You will send £3500.00 to shipping agent asap the cheque cleared into your bank account. I was informed by him that, he will need the funds for shipping in advance .The shipping agent needs to complete the shipping document and book a slot at the seaport before i will bet raveling down to UK.i don't want to be delayed in UK due to my work.I would have love to send the payment alone and get the extra issue out to the haulage company but it takes longer to get UK payment cash elsewhere and would cause delay in transaction as i believe we both don't want any delay in the transaction.


The remaining balance of £7600.00 will be payed into your bank account or by cash before it can be pick up.i will be waiting for 48hrs for you to confirmed the balance before the shipping agent can pick it up .Let me know the best way you want the balance to be paid?

i will be using a local haulage company agent to come and collect it from your location as they would be collecting some other items for me asap the balance has been confirmed by you .It will be shipped to SINGAPORE.the reason for this shipment method is as a result of the congestion at the Singapore seaport, which does not make it directly shippable there.

It's quite amusing the lengths people go to with their bullshit! Here's another idiot who contacted me today, goes by the name of william bright email address [email protected] with the following message:

Just viewed your listing and will like to purchase it.please what is
the condition and more detail of it. Cheers

i did reply saying that it was still available etc and they responded:

requesting this transaction should be done via PayPal so the
PayPal charges is on me,If my offer is accepted send me your
PayPal email and your name including your phone# or send me
money request so i can pay you right away I am busy at work and
do not have much time around me.Make sure you get back to me so
that we can arrange for pick up as i will like the item to be
picked at your residence location,so no shipping

Latest scammer name to appear:Rick Shaun, who responded to my advertisement to sell my car on AutoTrader and Gumtree. Same style of post, saying "--
Is this car still available for sale, what is its condition and final price?"

This is in addition to: John Templain saying "--
I will like to know if your listed car is still available for sale and
as well as the asking price for it.

Yes, the scummy scammer identifying himself as ""[email protected]", the author of some of the worst English I have ever read, has obviously been busy! He/She/It has been in touch with me regarding my car advert in AutoTrader, using exactly the same emails as detailed above.

Let' s hope things go very badly for Him/Her/It.

There was something wrong with my very first post, the second and the third are published indeed. But it could have been my mistake. I'm not an internet specialist, you know

Anyway, I have contacted the police and PayPal as soon as I knew it was a scam. I haven't lost any money, but I knew I should warn people about this guy, whoever he may be.

I'll keep an eye open for scams and I'll continue posting when necessary. Two thumbs up for this website
