Only the victim is intended to see it as it becomes much easier to trace once everyone knows the trick. Maybe eBay would like to see a copy.

Marketplace Safety TipTo recap - the real eBay account isn't associated with this fraud. After you saw the original advert, on somewhere like Gumtree, you were directed to a fake page that impersonated the real eBay page. The fake page held the fake advert and was a copy of a real eBay page but had been edited to support the fantasy eBay vehicle protection scheme. The links all worked unless they directed you to other links supporting the scam.
