I have more faith in the bank than Mr McDuff or Fair Trading
That seems to be a fair assumption :?

Good things will come to those who wait, well, eventually you may receive part of your order

I have just put my complaint into the DFT. Like Ken, I also have more faith in my bank than in the DFT. With the number of complaints they have received about this company it is hard to believe they are still allowed to trade. So much for consumer protection. I'll keep you posted re what happens.

wish i'd seen this forum before i placed an order for over $300 for a staywell dog door! same story, ordered over a week ago - no problem with them taking my money, but wont respond to emails, texts or phone calls.

have already lodged a complaint with DFT and my credit card issuer. The most annoying thing is that this make take up to 90 days to resolve itself and I cant go elsewhere to purchase another one in case it shows up one day!

has anyone personally paid a visit to this guy? Bangor is only a couple of suburbs away from me so I'm very tempted to go to his place and have a bit of a 'chat'...

Hi Sydneysurfer, I live too far North West to go driving that way but he does actually have a store there at Bangor if you did want to visit.

I need to suggest here that it is not advisable to use violence to resolve the issue ;)

Spent quite a lot of time at Cronulla quite a few years back, do you still get the sunbathers around near the rock pool?

hi Ralph,

yeah i know that violence isnt the answer. for all i know this bloke is just someone with a poor business model - mind you citing delivery timeframes he knows he cant meet is very dishonest.

do you happen to know the name/address of the store - i'll call in on the weekend

I got a call from the Fair Trading people today and they said that they will try and get my order delivered. In the option in the online form it asks what response you would like from the company and I said that I would like my goods delivered or my money back. I hope I get the result as the prices were good but as they say, if it looks too good then maybe it is....... :x

I once got involved in something simlar that happened in the UK a year or two back, but I'm not keen to get too deeply involved in something like this again, however I think you Aussies need to get tough with this company.

The quickest way to shoot this company down for breaking its published commitments is to retrieve your card payments. That way they'll get their merchant trader facility pulled by their bank and they'll virtually be left driving a truck with no wheels.

There is a procedure and, if I recall correctly, an amount restriction meaning it must be over a certain figure to make a claim. In simple terms, you evidence that you have given the company every chance to meet their contractual commitment and that they have ignored you and failed to comply. The card company then take the money back off the trader.

In my case, once the bank saw the tidal wave approaching, they shut the operation down in the blink of an eye. Even if the company went into liquidation, if you paid by credit card you'd still be able to get your money back from your card company, which is why banks react quickly in this situation.

If necessary I'll provide facts and steps to take, but it''s quite straightforward and highly effective. Once you start pulling your money back, they might even start answering their phone. :D

Here is the address

I did a google maps street view search once before and you could clearly see a petforce sign in the window, "Petforce" is another alias

This is an Australian webiste that gives information on obtaining a cashback refund on a credit card purchase.

http://www.creditcardfinder.com.au/how- ... ction.html

This only refers to CREDIT CARDS. The situation is different for debit cards, though in the UK it is not out of the question that you can do the same. I don't know about Australia.

Can anyone tell me where you got the information about there being only a 3 day delivery. I've had another look at the website and cant see where it says this. I'm trying to get OFT and bank to do something about this guy but cant find where it mentions delivery times. Thanks

The delivery time is shown against each item listed, and also says if in stock or not.

Petfood 247 - I have also ordered unsuccessfully from this company. Item was identified as in stock and would be shipped within 3 working days. Payment was deducted immediately but have not seen any goods 1 month later. There are no replies to my emails and phone number is useless.......
Truly buyer beware!

Hi Peter, thanks for adding to the large list of unhappy customers.

As many of the oters before you have done, there is no harm in contacting the ACCC or the Office of Fair Trading and add to the lists there as well, if they receive enough complaints they might do something to get them to clean up thier act, surely they must be close to having enough complaints now

Had another call from Fair Trading today and he advise that they have shipped my goods! :oh-joy:

When he called the first time he asked whether I had recieved my goods because they said that they sent them on the 15th of June and was going to check with the Aust post. The invoice said that it was shipped by courier... Anyway, I'll keep you updated but all signs are positive!
