Also as a final note. Watch out for recovery scams. Sometimes when a scammer realizes their victim is is wise to then they will attempt a recovery scam. This will be someone from some government agency telling you they will help you get your money you list back. It's all fake and all lies to try and steal your money.

Now this scammer has turned into a blackmailer. She has threatened me several times the last couple of days. Saying that I should be carefull with what I am writing about her. She has got friends in UK that can hurt me. Then she turned into the nice girl saying she dreamt about me and hope that all the bad words in the past could be forgotten. She would really like to stay in contact with me.

I had told her about the fake emails from "the bank" and asked her why the "bank manager" did not send me a proper email. Then she got very angry and said that she would like to chat with me, but I WOULD HAVE TO PAY HER 1000 UK pounds.

She has also created a new profile on Cupid, calling herself BUZZME22.

I will not take the threats very serious, or should I ?

That is a typical scammer response.

If you haven't already, please read the link for romance scam victims in my signature line. It should help you with answers to some of the questions you may have, including about threats.
At this point, the most important thing is to cut off all access to the scammer. Block him from your messenger (again, chances are >95% that it is a male behind those emails), filter his emails to trash, and most importantly, do not respond to anything he says.

I am sorry, but I am back again. ABout the same woman, called Blessing. I had joined another dating site in UK called Senior Dating. I had sent and received some messages from a woman with screenname COWAY. She told me she had read my profile. She did not have a profile picture so I asked for it.

Some days later I received her pictures and an email. It was from Blessing, the woman I had been in "a relationship" with for almost 3 months. But this time she called herself Jasmine.

It happened to me too, falling with my scammer. It is tough to forget about him, even on my sleep I still see his image. But once I realized that if someone loves you, money should not be involved. I keep asking my self why do I keep sending money to someone I dont even really know? I now learned my lessons - never trust someone on the internet especially those people who are soliciting money from innocent people.

Viking--if you have paid, or seemed to be close to paying before you twigged, it is not unusual for scammers to try again using a new name or approach. While most have the sense to use different pictures, some are dumb enough or brash enough to try with the same photos (just as some scammers will send pictures of 2 different models and expect victims to not notice.)

I would certainly agree that you shouldn't trust anyone on the internet who is asking for money. But, it is possible to find good people on dating sites. Just remember the old expression: Sometimes you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince. If you stay active on social networking or dating sites, there will be more scammers--it's inevitable, there are so many out there. But if you learn to recognize the signs, you will find that you can filter most of them out pretty quickly.

I have not posted anything for a while about this possible scammer Blessing Okoh. I sent a letter to the real Josie Ann Miller in Canada. I finally got a reply that she is NOT real, The name is just fiction. But the woman in the pictures is a Canadian woman.

That means Blessing Okoh is a liar, a criminal. This "romance" has been very expensive for me, more than 9000 uk pounds, more than 13 500 us dollars.

As we all know, there is a lot of corruption going on in Ghana. Just wondering if it is worth reporting her to the Ghana police for fraud.

I'm afraid there is little the Ghana police can and will do. You don't have the scammers real identity. Everything he told you was a lie so the police would have nothing to actually catch the scammer.

I was scammed by the same person or people on Skype. By the same fake girls picture & fake video. The girl they are stealing pictures from is Josie Ann Miller from josieModel.ca In fact I'm still talking to her/them just to waste their time. Since there's no way to get my money back. Don't fall for all the love talk its bull.

The name used was Bernice Berko ([email protected]) in Ghana, Africa. Claims shes from Kumasi & Accra. That her mother is sick with diabetes her father is dead and her uncle is out to murder her over a warehouse inheritance. So she needs money for "Mum" & so she can get money to move out of the area. Wants Moneygram sent. She also wants the money sent to Charlotte Oduro which is probably the same person. She also uses Lana Brooks photo's as her friend. Another person used in the scam is Helena Boatemaa4 on Skype that backs up the fake story. IE Lana Brooks photos. The claim no speakers on Skype. That way there's no interaction with voice & picture at the same time.

I noticed some people saying they can help people if they give the email address of the woman claiming to be Josie. I met a female by the name of Ivy Begley on match.com and after 4 weeks of talking to her I decided to randomly look on google and found her pictures all over the net. I now know it's not her but once I called her out for it she said she was ashamed of her past and didn't want me to know and is saying she is really her. I'm not stupid lol. I was never asked for money though so it through me a curve ball. We did however discuss meeting one day and she wanted help so eventually she was going to ask. Her email address is [email protected] She said that when the day comes I will have to send her money to her aunt since she works 2nd shift, lol, and this is the info she sent me:

I am currently in the process of calling her out on the rest of this. She was on the cam like 4 times and it made me actually think it was her til I seen you can download cam videos of Josie. I'm going to have her get on tonight and grab an object in the background and touch her nose and open her mouth really wide so we'll see if I get any excuses when I ask her lol. If you can help me with some information on this person I'd greatly appreciate it.

Glad you figured it out. There is really no point in calling the scammer out who in actuality is more than likely a young black man from Africa. They know they are a scammer and will not admit it. It can also help them improve if you point out mistakes. Just stop all communication.

Scammers often choose porn stars because there are a ton of pictures and video especially with web cam girls. Without going in to too much details its fairly easy to manipulate the video to make it appear to be live it of course is not.

I really hope this will be my very last post here. This person is doing everything she can to make me believe that she is real. She uses a picture of my hoy=use as her profile picture on yahoo messenger. She says that "I belong in that house. I am just counting the days untill you will take me there". Phycologic blackmail? But she also comes up with different need of money.

She has admitted that she has been telling a lot of lies in the past. All what she had told me about lawyers etc, are just lies. Now she comes up with a story that some years ago she broke up from a relationship with the son of the late president of Ghana. When she left, she stole a lot of money from him. Most of the money I have sent her, she has paid back to this man, but he has got her passport. She has to pay him 2000 us dollars before he will give her back the passport.

Now I have blocked her emails and I will erase yaho messenger. But she knows my adress in UK. I really do not know what to believe now.

Over a year ago we proved to you this person is a scammer but it appears you are still communicating with him. You say now you have blocked the scammer yet you end your post with “I really do not know what to believe now”. You are holding on to this fantasy and that is all it is. The scammer will continue to say whatever he needs to say to convince you to keep sending money.

You are the only one that can end this. The scammer will not end it he has made money off of you and will continue to do so until you stop communicating with him. The longer you prolong this the more money you loose and emotional damage you are doing to yourself.

I really hope you mean it this time and end this.
