Hello kryonide. Some more details would be helpful please. Do you refer to John Graves the ex fbi employee?
I seem to recall he is now involved with financial type scams if my memory is correct?
Perhaps you refer to someone entirely different? Could you publish an e-mail, the email header, an email from said person would be great, maybe phone number? Any additional information would be most helpful.

Hi kryonide. Sorry for the slow response. Unable to go see on the link because it asked to login. I needed to look on someone elses computer, as I don't have fb. The profile showed a lack of information I thought, but maybe because was created in Dec 2012 (not long ago). Was unable to find any info on the photo. Difficult to determine at this time whether fake or not. However I would ask you to stay on the side of caution with this one. Sorry - simply not enough info at this stage to be 100% certain.

Thankyou for adding some more information. Reading the excerpt, does not instill a great deal of confidence. I notice you ask the individual some questions whereby the responces are vague and poor. If I was writing to a lady, I'd do my best to answer any questions that were asked. I don't want to give too much away but the writing is not quite right. That would not be the news you seek but I've the inclination to agree with Dotti.
I would love to give people good news sometimes but cannot in this instance.

I met a Paul Graves via SeniorPeoplemeet.com. He said he was a Sgt. in Afghanistan. He would be retiring in a month, yet he could not give me a retirement date. He said he owned a home in Liberty, SC. He has a 9 year old son, named Bryant. Bryant would turn 10 on 3/15/2012. Bryant was his only living relative. Bryant wanted a laptop for his birthday, "Paul" could not get it for him. Bryant's care taker Prince Obiri, Osekan St. 104, Ghana, Accera 00233 was broke and could not buy a gift for "Paul's" son. "Paul" wanted me to buy birthdays gift for his son. I did not believe him, questioned him on many levels and he would not answer or give vague explanations. I did not send any money or gifts. I put the Ghana address in a yahoo search and found Tiny's complaint. He sent me a photo, he was in camo uniform holding a young boy. He said his e-mail was [email protected] . Not so. I looked up Prince Obiri, he lives in the US.

I met Sgt.Paul Graves via SinglesNet dating service. He claims to be 54 years old with an 11 year old son named Mike. He states "Mike" is being cared for by a friend of his Price Obiri in Ghana,Accura.Prince Obiri lives in the United States. He was contacting me through Yahoo Messenger with the email address of [email protected] . I checked the Military base in Afghanistan he claimed to be stationed at - no record of him was found as well as the US base of Fort Jackson in Libery, SC. He indicated he would be through with his tour of duty on October 3, 2012, had to fly to Ghanna, Accura to pick up his son& & was returning home to Queens,NY.He even went as far a placing two calls to me to say "Hi" because he wanted to hear my voice. I had the phone number checked as well, it to traces back to Ghana. Sgt.Paul Graves has a loud & clear profile of doing this for some time, the profile appears under "Scammers Alert". He made reference to his sons birthday being September,24 2012 & asked if I could send $500 to Prince Obriri so he could invite his classmates over for a birthday party. He indicated I could send the money Western Union to Prince Obiri, Ghana,Accura 00233. When I refused he became very persistant stating he just wanted the little guy to have a nice birthday. A fraud alert investigator indicated she has tracked him before & that "Military Romance Scams"are running rampid. This is a highly specialized network in Ghana & the investigator indicates they cover their tracks extremely well. Be careful out there ladies. I hope this protects & helps someone else from SGT. Paul Graves.

The name is not so common in my search with army, but I found a few such as Micheal Graves -scammer.

I am not sure if the pic has an added name, but if not the the scammer is stuck with it.

That is a ploy sometimes used by scammers. To remove a profile before they are banned. I notice on so called dating sites, many scam profiles have little information. If the scammer realises or feels you cannot be fleeced, of course it will not respond. The only thing a scammer cares of is getting it's hand inside your purse.
As for the photo? Spent considerable time looking but cannot find the image. I don't even recognize the building in the background and unable to clearly see the yellow writing. Thankyou for the report because it will alert others in future.
