Hi Louise56, I had a very similar experience. Except I got bullied by the lawyer for my scammer and that's when the nightmare really moved forward. You were smart to pay attention to the details, as that is what saved you. Yes, very slick and I understand the feeling about being amazed that you could get scammed. It happens every day. You put your heart out there and expected the best, just like me.
Ever notice how great the commercials are for online dating sites? We never see ones for being scammed. And reporting to law enforcement is good, you just got the standard excuses, which is why people continue to get scammed every day. We exist at least so people have a resource to see the truth.
