The indonesian woman

Hello, I met this woman about two years ago at icq bali chat room. She quickly called me via mobile phone. We exchanged photos and everything seemed allright. We talked on IM. Because I did not have my own internet by this time we talked most of the time via mobile phone. I qickly fell in love with her. And she said she loves me too. Then after about 5 monthes of talking, she suddendly said she needs money, because she had stopped working at her old job at the office. And she wanted to open a new buisness and do a freelance job. I really loved her and sent her the money via Western Union. All in all about 2000 dollar. I was so in love. We continued talking and last August she disappeared for a whole week. She did not call me during this week. She said she was busy because her brother got married. I am not sure if its true. Then after this week we talked again. Since last September I have my own internet. Since this we talk on hotmail and yahoo. She asked me in last October again for money but I refused. And about two months ago she said her cam and her computer are broken. I should send her 350 dollar, so she can repair her cam and her computer. I refused to send her the 350 dollar. She has got a lot of friends. Local friends and foreign male friends. (America, Egypt, Australia, Brazil, UK...)

I did several IP checks. Some showed Norway. Some showed India. And one showed, that it is an anonymous Proxy. The location on the map was in the ocean, next to Sao Tome and Principe in Africa.

What could that mean?

She does sound like a scammer after reading your posts, but to be sure i'd like more information. I understand that you don't want to post her email address on a public forum, but if you could send me a PM with her email address, i can do a search for that. If she's a known scammer, then she will show up.

She said she has got a friend, who runs an internet cafe. She said its a woman, but I am pretty sure its a man. Because I talked to a man from the bali chat room. His name Is Isnan Oke. We talked in IM. He laughed a lot. And mentioned "Iron Man". A name Reni used to call me. He also said that he started with 25 computer but now he has 75. A pretty big increase in numbers. She said she does not know anyone from the bali char room. But its not true. She is very often there. Probable nicks: Pinky or Bunny baby.... She also uses mebo chat.

Very often, when we talked on IM, we switched from MSN messenger to yahoo chat. On yahoo she very often asked me what the last topic was we were talking about. It felt like talking to a totally different person. I had the feeling that I suddenly talk to a man.

And when we talked via skype, I heared a lot of noises in her background. People talking, the call to prayer from a mosque, the sound of motorbikes and voices of children.

She very often mentiones, that she has got problems with her stomach. She can not eat seafood or spicy food. And she also can not drink coffee. Can it be true? Or does she just try to make me feel sorry for her? One thing that is very strange for me, It does not bother me when she mentiones it, it just feels strange: She always mentiones her period. She is in this phase of her period... She will soon get her period.... You know what I mean...!

She does not talk about herself or about her feelings very often. She also does not mention her family very often. She also said that she can not remember her childhood very well. Most of the time we talk about me and things that happened. She also does not talk about the typical girl’s stuff. You know… Fashion, Make up, movie stars… Instead she likes to talk about Valentino Rossi, Motorbikes and Cars. She also ignores my questions very often. Last month she had her birthday. I asked her about the presents she got. But no answer.

Somehow I have the feeling, that she is a member of a muslime religious group. She said, as a kid she visited a madrassa. Can this be true?

Or is she a member of one of those african groups, who work from inside asia?

Looking at the Facebook page, the charater there is Indonesian.
Are you friends with the person on Facebook? Do you talk to them there?

My instincts tell me that this is a scam. Not a regular African scammer but just some woman who sees that she's able to get money out of you for very little risk.

It is possible that someone has stolen the Indonesian womans' ID though.

Yeah, it may seem strange but I would be really really really reliefed if she is really a woman from Indonesia. And not an african scammer from Indonesia or Asia or from Africa.

Madrasas are quite common in Bali and in Nigeria as well

That does not mean she belongs to a specific group .

She uses a proxy (generally, people use proxies if they want to hide something)

I agree with ChrisSmith , it seems that she’s just interested in your money

Doesn't sound that strange. I can understand why you'd think that way.
