New Orleans rental scam

I'm trying to figure out if I am about to get scammed or not. I'm trying to get a rental in New Orleans for New Year's Eve night.
The guy hasn't told me the specific address. I'm only an hour away so I could go check the place out. He said we would use PayPal. His name is Bill Gibbs and when I got a registration form that didn't ask for a payment yet it said the company was Mapple vacation rentals inc
But when I google it nothing comes up.

Additional research has left no about abut this being a scam

Usually, if the unit is not occupied we do allow checking before committing. With the situation of the season the unit is being booked up fast and it is as well currently occupied. You will not be able to check out before committing. If you do not feel comfortable with booking the unit, i do understand. But i can assure you there is nothing to worry about.
