Honestly, the conversation this guy tried to have with me lasted over a week. He found me on a dating site. At one point he video called me on Skype and apparently setup his webcam to show a video of an older white male supposedly chatting with me. There was no audio.

There was a lot of information provided by the scammer. Supposedly he was in Syria and he got a truck load of gold from the Syrian government. He needed to send the gold to me. He wanted a courier to come to my house to "deliver" the package.

I've reported him to Skype and the dating site. I don't know what will come of it. His English is passable but not what you would expect of the person he was purporting to be.

Unfortunately, he has my e-mail address from my profile on the site, but the above e-mail is what I got from him. I parsed the mail header and he's running an SMTP server on his computer because the origin IP is 127.0.0.1 .
