Hello,

I am afraid a client of mine is being taken by this man. Can you give me examples of what he would offer? In this instance he is calling him Abbas and our client to help him import oil to the US.

It is a scam. The Scammer is in Nigeria. He has no oil to ship.

Oil Company do not write strangers on the internet to partner with business nor is this a method to ship oil into the US.

The scammer has sent the email to 100's of people.

Thank you for replying! This man who I believe is getting scammed is trying to race against the foreclosure clock thinking he will get money and settle his debts. Problem is he will lose what equity he has left in the home if he's not careful. He is a good man and I would hate to see this happen. I have a meeting with him tomorrow to talk him out of this. He is being very vague and I have finally been able to get out of him that the person wants $35,000 (I assume for shipping permits because he mentioned "the tanker is insured"). He is then being told he will get $3,000,000 out of the oil deal. Is this similar to what you experienced? I would like to have some solid examples to give to him in order to open his eyes.

Thank you again for your replies!!!
