Hello dears,

I need your help to guide me.. I've received the following mail From: Western Union Office. ([email protected]) and this is its content:

"Please be informed that you have $250,000.00 Lodged in our Western Union
outlet to be transferred to you as Compensation. Contact me for more
information.

Mr. Richard Quest.
Direct line: +234-807-786-7328"

So please help me, is that a scam? What should I do?

Regards

Ignore it because it's a scam.

When you reply you'll be told you have to pay fees to get hold of it.

Western Union never contact people to tell them they have received money, and if they did, they'd send the message using the Western Union domain, not a free mail address that's being used by a Nigerian internet scammer. The dialling code 234 shows that's where the person is located.

No one pays money to Western Union to receive money, The scammer will ask you to pay him by Western Union and, of course, you'll pay him and get nothing back.
