Help! I fell for a scam. Did I stop in time?

Long story short: I fell for an employment scam. Seemed legit and offered to pay off my credit cards until I got a corporate card. Seemed legit with paper work and everything but it got fishy when they asked for gift cards. I did investigated and found it was fraud. I alerted the credit card companies but one was a hassle and could not do anything about it at the time. A month later, they now canceled my card and are investigating it by there fraud department. I never bought the gift cards and said they will send me a new card in a few days. Should I be worried that they will want to bring in the authorities and make a hassle out of it or will they just send me a new card and just add up my total debt on the next card?

Definate Fraud Website. 1 year registered by a registrant in Poland . Doesn't appear to be any content on the site . Just a holding page .

Since I didn't go thru with it, will they just take that money out and leave my account back to what it was accordingly?

You need to report this on the IC3 website . We are not banking experts or legal experts . We primarily run this blog as a warning device . That is why the initial recruitment details are crucial. Other potential victims of this scam may be searching them . This is a Money Mule Scam .

You have received and kept the proceeds of crime - it is in your best interest to do as T5 says and be proactive and report it to the authorities.

If you don't then you could be viewed as an active participant in a crime, rather than a victim of a scam.

Thank you for your response and help. I was about to report it to my discover account since they had easy communication and said i was protected but this one by credit one did nothing by phone and no way of emailing. Only thing i could do was write them but no answer or action until today when they canceled my card.

Quite a sizable list . If an email address such as "[email protected]" is found to have registered one FAKE site . Any site registered to that email address is fake .I'm not going to waste my time performing due diligence on all of them .

Please post emails from chemtradeus.com with complete headers. We need them to kill the domain. If you sent an email to chemtradeus.com and got a response, post both with complete headers.

I was not able to find them thru my phone email app but once I get to a laptop, I'm sure I can find them then. Again, thank you for all the help. Discover did just refunded the money out of my account and that was it. I'm hoping this card company does the same.
