I had 2 people trying to scam me. The first person was known as Louise Collins ([email protected]) who said 'she' was from Australia but was in Maylaysia on business and urgently needed a car. The second person was known as Paul ([email protected] and paulcris13hotmail.com) who said 'he' was from the UK. Both parties of people sent me a text message saying
Hello, just viewed your car on Gumtreem is it still for sale? Awaiting for your response (the their email)
.
Then they both go on replying that they will purchase the car and that I have to give them my paypal details. Then they sent a reply back saying
Thanks for the prompt response You have received a PayPal Payment of $****.00 AUD from (both parties)

I thought both emails the same was very weird and instantly thought SCAM

They both then went on saying that if I didn't proceed with the payment that Paypal will take legal action against me.

This was not true!

Hi there, ydoi85, and welcome to SW!

I'm very glad to see that you saw through this scam before they got anywhere with you, and even more glad that you posted their emails up here for the world to Google. Out of all the fake Paypal emails I've seen, this one has to have had the least amount of effort put into it :D
