Help!I m victim and the scammer is asking more money!

Hello!I was a little stupid and I sent money for a scammer, I found out I was beeing wrong just after he asked me for more money! I was trying to rent a house, he told me he was in London. I sent the money by Western Union. He still thinks I dont know and he is waiting more money!What can I do? I m putting here the fist email from him. Last email he sent his phone...I am very sad.

You can move into the apartment when you receive the keys but the only problem is that am the only person who has the keys but i hope that we will reach a compromise on this.

I am very sorry to hear you were scammed . Unfortunately the chances to ever get that money back are almost zero. What I want you to do is the following:

*Post all emails you received from him (remove your own name and email adress)
*If he linked you to a site, post it here and we can get it offline.
*Stop all contact. If you feel it's really necessary, send him a mail saying you know he is a scammer. He'll most likely try to lie his way out of it, don't believe a word he says. The best thing is just to completely ignore him - he'll realise soon enough that you aren't going to send him any more money and he'll stop trying.

That will have no effect. They are disposable mobile numbers and it is very easy to purchase another. Just like mailing there is nothing you can achieve with it, the best is to just completely drop him.

You posting your story here will definately help other people. Anyone doing a search on this scammer will end up here and will be wiser. Thank you very much for that

Hi everyone, my girlfriend was a victim of this exact scam. The person used the name Mark Osborne, and the ad was in UBC rentsline for an apartment/condo for rent in Vancouver, B.C, Canada. I did some tracking of my own, and the i.p address found by sourcing the e-mail was located to Lagos, Nigeria. The person uses UK addresses and phone numbers. Below are a few messages I used under a fake e-mail myself, in order to get some more information from him after my girlfriend paid something like $1500 in a Western Union transaction (without telling me). NEVER use Western Union, and always do your due diligence. It's a hard lesson, but something that's preventable. Look for scam alerts on the sites you are using, and find out all you can about the person you are giving money to beforehand.

I got a contract job in an engineering company for a construction project as part of the structural engineers to build a highrise building in London, United Kingdom. I am a Building tech specialist, so my accommodation period in England will be about 4 years, so that's the reason why i am renting out the unit. I do not intend to make profit out of it all i want is to find a good and clean person to take good care of the place. I`m the owner of the unit and it is furnished but you can bring your furniture and help keep mine in the storage locker which is situated both in the unit and in the building and these does not attracts any funds.


The monthly rent that am requesting for is $600 and the rent is to service the bills which includes all utilities (water, electricity, Internet, cable, 1 parking spots, air conditioning, dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, refrigerator, stove, laundry in-suite, washer and dryer) the monthly rent you will be paying includes all this and they will be taken care of as soon as you pay your rent.


Everything in this unit is functional and in good working condition. Once you started staying in the unit and there is any case of repairs which is as a result of normal faults like leakages, you will get in touch with me and i will get it fixed, i am in possession of the keys to the apartment which makes hard for you to view the unit.
