As regards the payment of 3% of the value of the gold in cash for export it is the responsibility of the buyer when buyer is in Ghana and has inspected the gold and have it tested for quality confirmation so that the said amount will be used to pay all taxes , levies and charges for the shipment of the gold accompanied by seller representative to complete the transaction for the recovery of the rest of 97% of the value of the gold.
Gold sellers in Ghana always expect the cost of the gold to be paid in full to them even before shipment as there are gold testing companies in Ghana that test gold for payment for gold sellers.
