When he called, they said he would have to come to his interview with a $100 training fee, and this would not guarantee a job (they said he could "probably" get a job if he got the training and passed a drug and a credit check. Does this sound like a scam to you? Anyone else ever run into something like this?

considering the lack of information on what the job actually is, it certainly looks like one. Not a US person myself but we don't get charged for a Job interview in the UK thats for sure.

Over here we get CRB checks, thats if you get the job and the company itself pays for the checks

Sounds like a neat scam. You pay for training, which could be nothing more than a one hour talk, with no promise of a job, so it sounds like a legal method to scoop cash from a room full of people for little outlay.

Unless the offer is from an established company with a good reputation, I wouldn't bother.

Hi,
We sow your profile on the web site www.4familycare.com. Our registration number on the site is 67588.
My husband and I are Italian, we have 2 daughters, in April a new baby will join us. We are looking for a kindly, reliable and honest lady who has some child experience and who can look after our 3 kids (0-3 years). She also will oversees the housework and cook for the family. We live in a residential and central area in Dublin - Ireland in a very beautiful house and we offer a full time job with board and lodging in a private double room. We travel a lot between Dublin and Rome so we are interested in someone who can travel with us especially during the summer. We provide, of course, the flight tickets and the accommodation abroad. We require a good knowledge of English. We are a good family to work for. Should you be interested in this position I will forward you more details of what will be required of you. Looking forward to a prompt response. Thanking you.

Best regards
beatrice paloni"
