It would appear the following web site is a scam: http://citybasehomeletting.com with the following bank transfer details

1. Asked for a wire transfer of 20% of the money
2. When I asked to see the apartment, he said my reservation was "cancelled"
3. Two phone numbers provided did not work
4. Googling the Bank Address turns up other references to fraudulent activity

City Base Homes Lettings claim to be at 8 Station Road, Finchley, London. N3 2RY with the phone number +44 20 3239 9524. That is a lie!

I have spoken to the shop next door and they advise me that the property is empty but has recently been let out to a bookseller who is on the verge of moving in.
