Hi,

I have just booked 1 weeks' stay through http://www.londonshort-lettings.co.uk website but the person replied initailly via [email protected] and my confirmation is from [email protected] and http://www.mayfair-vacationflats.co.uk website.
I have not been able to speak to anyone at either offices listed on the websites or emails.

Is this a scam?

Regards,
Ken

Hi Ken,

I'm afraid it looks like it is a scam.

http://www.londonshort-lettings.co.uk was previously shut down by the site killers team, and has since sprung up again. It is currently under investigation and will likely eventually be closed down again.

It is very likely that http://www.mayfair-vacationflats.co.uk/ is operated by the same scammers. As well as the association via the emails you have received, the site has other signs typical of phoney sites (such as a short domian registration period and hidden registrant details)

I hope your booking didn't cause you to lose any money yet. Please don't send any money to them.

If you could post the emails you received including the headers that will help in getting the mayfair page investigated.

Regards
Amadeus

^^ http://www.londonuniversityrooms.co.uk is a legitimate site I believe. Looks like it is part of 'university rooms' group.

Any second opinions from the board would be appreciated (just in case ;))

Thanks
