Did he give you a website or a phone number? Where are you sending the money order to? How would you get your money back if he doesn't send you the phone?
I'd also check his IP to see if he is where he says he is. You will need to get the headers first go here to learn how to do that http://www.ip-adress.com/faq/view_email_header/
Then copy and paste the headers here to find the originating country if possible. Done email providers strip this and some scammers use services to hide their location but it's worth trying.
