The user Alice Orizales has posted the following scam message as a comment to a post in the Bergen City Marathon Strava group:

Hei, hvis du fortsatt er interessert, ønsker søsteren min å overføre sin fordi vi ikke kan reise for løpet lenger. Her er WhatsApp-en hennes. Du kan sende henne en tekstmelding, så overfører hun den til deg! +44 7463 380188

Translation from Norwegian:
Hi, if you are still interested, my sister wants to transfer hers because we can't travel for the race anymore. Here is her WhatsApp. You can text her and she will transfer it to you! +44 7463 380188

This attempted scam is one of many that regularly appear on the running social media site Strava. It is looking for people who would like to take part in an event, to make contact with a view to paying for the race entry (or 'bib') to be transferred to them. The scammer gets payment, then shuts down all contact with the victim.
