The following scam comment was made to several separate posts in the Gold Coast Marathon, and other related Strava groups:

I have a marathon entry if you are still searching, message me +13182014619 if interested

This attempted scam is one of many that regularly appear on the running social media site Strava. It is looking for people who would like to take part in an event, to make contact with a view to paying for the race entry (or 'bib') to be transferred to them. The scammer gets payment, then shuts down all contact with the victim.
