The following scam comment was made to several separate posts in the Cardiff Half Marathon, and other related Strava groups:

I’m looking to transfer my marathon bib tickets, Please massage me on gmail [email protected] For it if you still interested in purchasing

This attempted scam is one of many that regularly appear on the running social media site Strava. It is looking for people who would like to take part in an event, to make contact with a view to paying for the race entry (or 'bib') to be transferred to them. The scammer gets payment, then shuts down all contact with the victim.
