The following scam comment was made to several posts in the Copenhagen Half Marathon and Melbourne Marathon Strava groups:
Hello, if you're still interested, my cousin wants to transfer because we can't travel for the race anymore. Message her on Whats@pp and she'll transfer to you. +34 . 6. 0.2.68.48.4.6
*Note the attempt to disguise the phone number format, and the mis-spelling of WhatsApp thus to bypass Strava's scam detection.

This attempted scam is one of many that regularly appear on the running social media site Strava. It is looking for people who would like to take part in an event, to make contact with a view to paying for the race entry (or 'bib') to be transferred to them. The scammer gets payment, then shuts down all contact with the victim.
