The following scam post was made in the Brighton Half Marathon, and other related Strava groups:
Hey everyone! My sister and I are looking to transfer bib. We mixed up with schedule just finding someone who can use them. If you’re interested, let me know your number on the comments and I can reach out to you via text, thank you

This attempted scam is one of many that regularly appear on the running social media site Strava. It is looking for people who would like to take part in an event, to make contact with a view to paying for the race entry (or 'bib') to be transferred to them. The scammer gets payment, then shuts down all contact with the victim.
