The following scam message was posted as a post, and as a comment on another post in the Cardiff Half Marathon Strava group:
Hi I’m looking to transfer my bib registration due to an injury, I'm selling my marathon bib! If you're interested Please message me on telegram: @islavictoria001

This attempted scam is one of many that regularly appear on the running social media site Strava. It is looking for people who would like to take part in an event, to make contact with a view to paying for the race entry (or 'bib') to be transferred to them. The scammer gets payment, then shuts down all contact with the victim.
