Hey guys,

I really need your help right now. Since several weeks I (and probably others) get messages from a man known to have no socials (which is rumored to have changed again). This people try to get to talk to you more privately and give you their "number". The conversations start of friendly and harmless but after a while it gets obvious that they want money or information. I already thought about going to the police and inform the management from this used person about these guys. What should I do?

At that moment it's two different guys who happen to know deep details about the person they use as cover.

Welcome to Scamwarners

The best thing you can do is just block them and stop communicating with them. Don't tell them you know they are scammers, they will just try to convince you that they aren't. Just ghost them and move on. No VIP is going to randomly message total strangers, so in future if you get such requests, just block them as soon as they contact you and report their profiles.

You could report it to the police and the individuals management (assuming you can be sure 100% that you are contacting the correct people and not some other scammers). However, the police are unlikely to do anything as there has been no financial loss and the criminal is almost certainly in another country and the management are unlikely to be able to do anything except try and get the fake profiles removed.
