Hi, I recently advertised a van for sale in Alicante Spain and received a reply from "DAN" (e-mail posted below) it was evident from the subsequent e-mails and a quick look up via Google and ScamWarners it was leading to a scam taken from a legitimate advert on a legitimate free ad website, I just want to warn people this person/company is scamming here in Spain, I passed the information onto the website owner and the Guardia Civil, take care its a bad world out there, Michael.

Hi Dan, if you would like to purchase the van and would like to see it and have a test drive we are in Torrevieja, Alicante, if you wish to bring a mechanic with you to look at the vehicle that's fine, If you want to reserve the van I would require a deposit done by cash/bank transfer and the balance in cash when the vehicle is picked up, there is a local Gestor who can do the vehicle transfer same day,

BYE BYE DAN THE VAN MAN or should I say "scam man", YOUR DETAILS HAVE BEEN FORWARDED TO MY LOCAL GUARDIA CIVIL TELEMAT DIVISION AND THE WEBSITE WHERE YOU SAW MY ADVERT!

If there's any more I will post it, no traceable IP address in the header, but its routed through a U.K. server the time zone where I am it was Sunday@ 22.37pm GMT+1 his time was Sunday @15.41pm, take care, Michael.

Did the scammer give you any more details - a phone number, an address he wanted you to send money to? Every bit of information will help others to find your post.
